The textures with their colour variations are linear, beaten and marked with heavier
surface indentations creating a textural duality in a single form. To heighten these deeper textures
required a different colour palette and more experimentation, ultimately leading to a radical
departure in assemblage.
In Articulated Forms lines are spontaneously drawn into the clay using fine implements and infilled with coloured slip. The finely etched rhythmic patterns recall woodcuts and hieroglyphics.
